1962 EB3 "Elderly"

One of only 273 EB3s made in 1962, the second year of this iconic model, this bass has had replacment tone and volume nobs, as well as a 1965 Bridge. It may have had a refinish-if so it is the best I have seen. The main pick-up is original and metal finished as normally not seen until the later 1963 models, rather than black, making this is a crossover model. The POTS are the 41st week of 1962, the serial  number comfortably inside 1962. (90860-listed in the Blue Book as "1962, 71180-96600").

A beautiful piece of history-despite the modifications!
