1959 EB2 in Natural finish

The EB2 and EB2D semi-hollowbody basses are the most elegant of all Gibsons creations.

This is an extremely rare "Natural" or "Blonde" finish EB2 from 1959. There were only 60 made in 1959, and only 90 made in total, as follows:

       1958                        1959                             1960                       1961

And yes, the tuners are not original-this bass should have "banjo" style tuners, but they were replaced with the Kluson 538 'elephant ear' tuners. Also, for some reason an earlier owner drilled a number of holes in the back. Why? Who knows! It hasn't changed the true Gibson BOOM tone!
